•    For single parent applicants, records of child support collected
•    For veterans or children of veterans, benefit records that are not related to education
•    Compensation reports for workers
•    The most recent Bank statements
•    For business people, the most recent investment mortgage information, business information , business records, farms records, stock investments, bond investments and records of other investments
•    For identification purposes for non-U.S. citizens, alien registration records or proof of permanent residency

The website strongly suggests that all the necessary documents be kept in a safe place as the office of the FSA may need applicants to present them again from time to time. The office of Federal Student Aid also discourages sending records and other important documents through snail mail as there is a high instance of loss that occurs by sending documents through mail.
